Our Approach
G-Mag™ International has a dedicated team of designers, engineers, project managers, and moldmakers in place to ensure project success. Every project receives our complete attention and the advantages of lessons learned from other similar projects.
Our five project stages are:
- Feasibility and Needs Analysis
- Where we learn about the project, perform a needs analysis, perform feasibility studies, recommend design/engineering solutions, determine project scope, and arrive at a price that includes cost savings
- Where we provide suggestions for assembly, machining, oil infusion, molding and insert molding (examples: bushings, stud, fasteners, etc.), and decorative and/or corrosion protection coatings
- Design, Engineering, and Prototyping
- Our designers and engineers work together from the outset of a project to determine final component design and tooling
- We subscribe to the Design of Experiments methodology, using the most advanced tools available, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and the latest design software:
- CATIA V5, which offers highly intuitive tools to easily create, validate and modify any type of surface, from freeform surfaces to mechanical shapes
- UGS (Unigraphics Solutions), which offers 3D and "Product Lifecycle Management" Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
- Proprietary mold flow simulation and load simulation programs
- We perform component testing and process optimization
- We can machine prototype parts from magnesium billets for initial customer studies and evaluation
- We can also design prototype tooling to manufacture low volume sample runs of several hundred units for initial customer studies and evaluation
- Tooling
- As a result, we utilize the latest and most precise manufacturing methods in the industry, via state of the art CNC.
- Magnesium metal molding is a precise tooling process that results in precision, net shape or near net shape components with tight tolerances
- We employ the latest prototype and machining technologies (example: our 5-axis capabilities enable quick turnaround times and optimum quality)
- Production and Quality Control
- Safety, quality, delivery, and cost…we deliver products that are safety manufactured, accurate, on-time, and cost-effective
- G-Mag International and G-Mag™ Europe GmbH are working toward ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9000 accreditation
- Both companies work to the highest transportation and electronics industry standards to create great products while also ensuring the safety of our employees
Quality drives our business.
